Camera smart glasses combine optical lenses with camera windows, microphones, speakers, buttons, charging contacts, seams, adhesives, and a battery. A cleaning method safe for conventional glasses can send liquid into electronics or leave residue over a sensor. The exact model manual controls every step.
Power down and remove accessories first
Move to a clean, dry, well-lit area. Stop recording, disconnect charging, power the device fully down as the manual specifies, and remove only accessories designed for user removal. Do not open the frame or detach lenses to reach hidden dirt.
Wash and dry hands. Place the glasses on a clean towel away from sinks, sprays, cosmetics, and metal objects.
Identify contamination before touching it
Dry dust, sand, sunscreen, skin oil, rain, salt, paint, food, and unknown chemicals need different responses. Photograph the pattern and preserve a product label when chemical exposure occurred.

Use a non-sensitive printed target or ordinary object in controlled lighting. Capture the same distance and angle before and after cleaning only if the device is safe to power and the privacy settings permit it. Compare central clarity, flare, haze, and obvious localized blur without claiming laboratory resolution measurements.
Delete test files through the approved retention process. Do not aim at faces, screens, documents, badges, or neighboring property merely because they provide fine detail.
Persistent blur may not be surface dirt
Internal condensation, a scratched cover window, coating change, misalignment, autofocus failure, or software processing can resemble residue. Repeated cleaning increases risk without addressing those causes. Stop when one approved cleaning cycle fails to change the result.

Photograph the residue and affected area, note the suspected substance, exposure time, cleaning steps already attempted, device symptoms, and exact model. Support can give a more useful answer when it knows what touched the device and what has already been applied.
Package a service inquiry without contaminating another person
State whether the substance is ordinary soil or potentially hazardous. Do not mail, carry, or hand over a chemically contaminated device until the receiving service confirms an approved route. Keep it isolated and labeled according to the relevant workplace or product procedure.
