A parked vehicle can expose smart glasses to conditions outside the device’s documented storage range. The frame contains more than an ophthalmic mount: battery, electronics, speakers, cameras, adhesives, seals, coatings, and lenses may each respond differently. Do not power or charge the pair immediately to see whether it survived.
A parked car can exceed normal device storage conditions
Find the exact model’s published storage, operating, and charging limits. Do not substitute another generation’s specification or estimate device temperature from outdoor weather alone.
Record where the glasses sat, whether they were in sun, case, console, or bag, approximate duration, and whether the vehicle was running. State unknowns honestly.
Move the device without adding thermal shock
Use caution if the frame is visibly changed, hot, swollen, leaking, or odorous. Follow manufacturer and local hazardous-battery guidance. Do not place it in a refrigerator, freezer, ice, or water.
